Sustainability

At Crookwell IGA plus Liquor we are working towards maintaining and sustaining a clean and green environment. Our major achievement so far has been the introduction into the Upper Lachlan Shire of a Return & Earn Recycling facility

Steps we have taken include:

• We encourage customers to bring their own shopping bags when shopping
• For customers who forget their bags we offer reusable tote bags to purchase
• We recycle all our cardboard packaging
• Food waste is donated to farmers who pick up the waste on a daily basis
• We have changed all our lighting to energy efficient lighting.
• We have introduced the “Return & Earn” recycling of plastic and glass containers.
• On average we recycle 27,000 cans/bottles a week.
